Depends on people's situations.

I know people who've wanted kids and tried for over a year before deciding to go in-vitro and that still taking 2-3 applications.

I also have a close buddy who tried for 2 years and his wife had 2 miscarriages. Finally got knocked up after 3 years and her having to have some surgery.

Less about "bragging" and more about being happy for your friends.
