Annoying sections of games...

Have you ever gotten to a section of a game that is so annoying/aggravating that it makes you want to quit the game even though the rest of the game is really good?

Im "stuck" n a side quest in AC Valhalla that is so annoying that I havent turned on my system for about two weeks.

The yoga part in gta v.

I have e replayed the campaign a few times to play with different mods and multiple times I'll get there then stop playing because of how much I hate it.

It only takes 5 minutes but it still drives me nuts.

That weird stealth horror chapter in Final Fantasy 15.

Just really out of place for that game and unnecessarily long for some reason.

Just about any escort quest, or puzzles that leave me having to backtrack or redo sht a lot.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

AC Odyssey-

-can you deliver this list of ingredients to the physician
-can you now gather all the ingredients needed
-one wasn’t on the list, but it’s really needed, can you go get it
-can you now decide if we should give the treatment to this guy here, or that guy there
-can now you escort the physician across town

Was on replay of Last Of Us PS5 edition and stopped playing in the hotel section because I dread the basement part of the game, especially on difficult mode.

I’m currently playing it so it’s fresh in my mind but the golden birds in ghost of Tsushima.

Seems like everytime im doing something the bird shows up and I can’t help but to follow it. I like to complete all the little side stuff but also like to discover it on my own.

Escort missions where the character you have to protect has a health bar and timed missions. Timers are the reason why I refuse to play most of the Dead Rising games since the entire gameplay is centered around them.

Red Faction on PS2 ("try it miner!"), the game let you save at any moment...so what did I do?

Decided to save the game during the final boss fight, but did so as I was falling off a cliff, which means every time I loaded....I immediately died from falling

Was so mad at myself that I never replayed to finish it.

The legendary RC plane missions in San Andreas immediately come to mind for me (as do those fuking races & mandatory flight school), but I still did them. I did actually quit the old PS2 Spider-Man 2 for over a year despite it being one of my favorite games cuz the last boss battle with Doc Ock was such a bitch.

Goddamn fuking Mako segments in Mass Effect 1. Especially my very first playthrough when I managed to pick up a side quest where you head out to investigate a distress call, then it turns out that it's a trap and then you have to blow up some gigaworm that constantly vomits acid at you. Think I died like fifteen times and almost gave up the whole thing.

Underwater levels.

Ice levels in a platformer.

Any rooms in NES/gameboy/etc that had too many sprites on the screen that it slowed down the system and killed you.

Stealth segments of games where your character is a total badass and could easily dispatch the enemies, but being seen is insta-death. (aka Gerundo Valley in Zelda: Ocarina of Time)

Beginning of AssCreed Black Flag is such a godawful slog that I never got to the meat of the game because the smooth brains over at Ubisoft think I give a damn about some bullschit meta game developer segment, only to be told that I need to slowly follow some bellends without being caught or some other stupid "missions" that could be written better by AI. Just call the next game "Assassin's Creed: Blue Balls" if they're going to keep doing this crap instead of coming up withinterestingassassin missions.

I'm also not a fan of mandatory stealth-only sections in games clearly not designed around stealth. If you screw up the stealth, then at least let me see if I can brute force my way through since that's what the game was intention for 99% of the time.
I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die

If you have any problems or need advice, feel free to ask

The DQ11 time travel scene. The game was perfectly fine after the 50 hour completion. WHY THE FOOK DID THEY THINK REPLAYING THE ENTIRE GAME OVER AGAIN WAS A GOOD IDEA?

You know why. All to save:

Spoiler!

And that epic final boss fight, of course.

God of War Ragnorak

Every time you have to go through the Yggdrasil loading screen. It just takes me completely out of the game and broke any momentum the game had.

- Most water levels
- Most sewer levels
- Escort missions
- Stalker missions

Specific examples?

- The train / street bike chase in San Andreas
- The RC Helicopter / Car missions in Vice City
- Underwater bomb defusing in the OG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game
- Speed bike sections in Battle Toads
- Shadows of the Empire sewer level

Can't think of more at the moment, but I know a few key ones are eluding my memory.
