Edit: yep, secrecy confirmed by the fact that everybody talks about the hazing and ignores the actual initiation rituals. Its creepy dude. This happens all over the internet - people ask about the rituals that happen post-hazing, and the responses are still all about the hazing instead of the rituals post-hazing….

Well it started with a letter. I got a letter asking for money and if I paid I could put the frat on my degree, or whatever. I as like "sure!" and paid I don't remember how much. $50 or something. I paid it. Got some cheaply printed cert and never heard from them again. It was from a major university btw. LMFAO those were the days. Borrowing a vacuum from student services, lol. What a trip.

I didn't join, but I had friends who joined different frats. They had to do idiotic stuff. No showering or changing clothes so you smell like chit for a week. Going into main campus cafeterias and acting like a farm animal (rooster was common because of they had to yell like one in the morning). And of course, drinking an insane amount of alcohol, and then boxing (which was kind of entertaining because they let randos in for matches). They also had football matches between frats before it was over. You were allowed to wear cleats, but no other gear, and full tackle.

I was in class, this was like a 200 seat science class built like an aditorium. There were exits at the top rows both sides and bottom rows, both sides. I was taking notes after the teacher got done making certain points and am looking down, writing and hear noise. It quickly becomes loud, and I look up annoyed. This dude came into the classroom, butt naked with a large platter of Vienna sausages. He was gayly skipping through, tossing the meat at people saying, 'little sausages fo' free". He came in one side, eventually out the other. He wasn't running or nothing but not walking, it was like a gay skip.

I will never forget it. Not because of what happened but because I was so, so dedicated at that time that I forgot to appreciate the stupidity of that moment until many years later.

But what was the initiation ritual in the end?

I joined a frat at a big time party school where hazing happens all the time. Here are some stuff we had to do



-The first night of pledging we were tied up to a chair and the pledge master kicked us down the stairs

-Our first hazing ritual was the Elephant Walk. Brothers locked us in a basement and gave us three big bottles of Titos to finish. There were 20 of us and we had to finish them in 1 hour. Afterwards (while all of us are drunk) they came down and told us to take off all our clothes. Then, they made us hold each others dicks and walk in a circle

-Our "bonding night" with our pledge brothers consisted of brothers making us "the pot". "The pot" was a big bowl of beer, hot sauce, mayo, spit, dip spit, urine, and cum. All the pledges had to pass around the bowl and drink from it and finish it

-Our sorority pair was Kappa Kappa Gamma. A few of their sisters (total smokeshows by the way) came to our basement during one of the hazing rituals. We all had to line up against the wall naked. We were lined up against the wall in order of dick size. The dude with the smallest dick was on one end of the lineup and the dude with the biggest dick was on the other end. Felt bad for the guy with the smallest dick. The sorority girls probably spread rumors about him because he no got no play after iniation. The dude with the biggest dick must've felt like a total alpha. He got the most Kappa Kappa Gamma pussy. No surprise there

-We had to say the Greek Alphabet in order. Anytime a pledge messed up brothers would throw beer bottles at them. One pledge messed up and a brother threw the bottle right at his head. The bottle shattered in his face and he ended up going to the ER

-During Hell Week, we had to stay in the house the whole week 24/7 (We could only leave for class). At random moments in the middle of the night brothers would blast music and force us to exercise at 3AM. Doing 500 pushups at 3AM when your groggy was hell

-On the last night of pledging, we were forced to stay up for 48 hours straight while brothers beat the chit out of us. I personally got a black eye and bruised ribs.

I was fasted, sleep deprived, and dehydrated; so chit was on the trippy side. They have you do a lot of stupid chit but the initiation is the culmination of the process - it all comes back and it 'makes sense,' when put in context.

If I told you specifics, it would ruin the whole fooking thing. It's not like sacrilegious to tell, but it's like explaining an inside joke - it just won't make any sense because you haven't participated in the process.

Sure ******* thing is it's tough because ritual books are kept as paper copies unless one of your the phsggots who does this chit after graduation and is on an alumni council or whatever. So recounting from memory some chit everyone does on no sleep fasted and usually some sibstances. For Chi Phi the initiation ritual was basically this, you go through hell week (which was less debauchery and more sense deprivation/total immersion for us + hard labor renovating a part of our chapter house), initiation night you're kept up all night and 4am or something pledges are blindfolded, taken to the basement or attic, your get in the coffin blindfolded and lifted up by 10 dudes who shake the **** out of it while a speech in ye olde English is going representing rebirth or something, get up and swear to an oath to uphold brotherhood ideals on some knockoff medieval implements like a sword crest and grail or something .and are taught the secret handshake and words which I don't remember anymore.

Fraternities stood for something 60+ years ago, now you're just mostly linked up with a bunch of other dudes who don't share similar values and its all a bit of a crapshoot. Mostly just dudes getting drunk. There's not much reason to stick with the frat after you've grown a bit and realized no one gives a **** about maintaining the values and accountability. A lot of this is since many woke unis get there hands in frat business and don't let you discriminate, then shotty pledges bring in more ****ty people the next year

Yeah my dormmate joined a frat and I have no idea why anyone would do it. For his initiation ritual, they made him stay in the dorm the whole year by himself and play league of legends

What benefits do you receive for having to go though all this gay chit?

Basically all the ritual aspects are published online and most of them are very similar. Same with all the freemason stuff, so if you're really curious then just look it up.

We had an initiation week where there was a lot of introspective work and some specific events designed to get you to think about yourself and how you wanted to address your life. In fact, we had to perform something called "implied silence" for five days which was amazing - no talking to anyone (even roommates and girlfriends/family), watching tv, being on screens, etc. for an entire week. Basically nothing frivolous at all for five days. It really makes you sit there and think about your life. Monk mode.

Once you're initiated you really feel a part of something. My fraternity brothers are still some of my closest friends and guys I know I can reach out to anytime, and I got initiated over twenty years ago.
