Discussing wages with other employees

One useful thing I actually lernt from reddit is that the National labor Relations Act forbids an employer from forbidding you from discussing your wages with other employees and if they fire you for that you can sue.

The more you know

While finances are personal, and I refrain from going into detail about mine, I absolutely tell my peers who ask how much the business compensates me.

I would never ask them as I do not care. I am aware legally the buisiness' cannot stop you from talking about it, and I understand the reasons they would try.

I also understand that people should treat business' like a tool. None of it is personal and if a boss gets upset because you made his ability to screw people a little harder, that is on him and he can go **** himself. I will literally tell him I do not care about his feelings. Take that chit somewhere else.

I don't take work personal, and if they do, that is on them. Not me.

Don't. Not because your employer doesn't want you to. Not because it's legal or illegal, or whatever. Don't because it doesn't benefit you.

So what they can't fire you. It would be better if they could when it comes down to it. If you have ever worked anywhere before, you know how favoritism works and how people who are a problem get treated. Reputation is also important and it goes way beyond your current employer or your job itself.

Okay.

But you are in TX which makes me believe your odds of winning would be on the low side if you couldn't prove in a written document from your employer that they specifically terminated your employment for this.

Why would I want to talk about that. I don't see any advantage.
