Ultramar War - Real Footage (Fall of the First and Last Ultramarine Empire)

Just came across this footages. Probably interesting for historical purposes.

Cliffs:

For the unaware, Portugal fought a guerrilla war (against several groups - see below) from 1961 to 1974 in Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau, all Portuguese ultramarine provinces at the time.

In 1974 the Portuguese Dictatorship collapsed after the "April 25th Revolution" and Portugal gave the independance to all the former colonies (Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, East Timor, Sao Tome and Prince ... and years later Macau). Huge mistake in my opinion.

So, the war was the main cause for the fall of the first and last Ultramarine Empire. Portuguese Empire started in 1415 (with the conquest of Ceuta) and ended in 1999 (when the Portuguese gave Macau to China).

btw, just lol at fighting wars without a helmet while swimming in rivers/lakes full of crocodiles and piranhas.

I remember a book with some gruesome images of thing the Portuguese did to the natives and vice-versa. Not cool at all.
