After four years, I finally got a ...

raise. Two dollars of raise. Not much but I guess is better than nothing.

I am still continuing to look for a better job or second income. I know I can't be picky but working remotely for years before even covid starts. I am only looking for open position that's eitheir hybrid or fully remote.

I've sent thousand of applications but the only one that's really calling me are companies that wants you to be in the office full time. *ugh* How hard is it to get a remote job? I do payroll btw.

Invest in a camera, lighting equipment and a PC. Start up your fully remote OnlyFans account. You might only be making $15 a month at the start but keep working at it.

I disagree and most payroll can be done remote. I've seen open position who pays great . Just depending who you work with obviously.

You can start selling your own bathwater if you own a bathtub. You'll probably need to give it out for free at first, but once word gets around how good it hydrates and how good your bacteria tastes, you should be able to sell it for a good amount. "Foxxie water" honestly has a nice ring to it.

She can even sell variations. One that's just the bathwater and another with bathwater she's peed in for a premium price.

This is basically what I do. Whole tasks is not listed but just giving you an idea.

Payroll Specialists work as part of a company’s accounting and human resources departments to ensure that employees get paid and employers make the appropriate deductions when processing payroll

Answering employee questions about payroll
Correcting paychecks
Maintaining accurate financial records
Reading invoices
Tracking payments to full-time, part-time, and freelance workers

I over see about more than 500 employee and ensuring everyone get paid correctly weekly. One mistake can get me in trouble . Is not an easy task. That's not the entirely what I do. There's more to payroll beside the listed tasks.

I meant "doing away" as in getting rid of it. I used to see a bunch of articles and such about more and more companies calling their employees back into the office. Even though it likely saves them money to have more people WFH, they still need to justify having an office, I guess.

You should have been job hunting by year 2. Four years without a raise is crazy and completely unacceptable.

Optimize your linkedin. There are tons of youtube videos on how to do it, then network with people in your profession and get in contact with recruiters.

Ok, let's make a video of that then. I'm sure it will sell to the right crowd in its own right.

Well maybe time to try and move into a more quantitative and analytical finance type role if you can handle numbers, which seems like you can between doing payroll and having a chemistry degree.

Financial analyst, cost accountant, etc. you can likely find more options in general with those, including remote, but just broadening your search will yield more results in general
