Who do you think has the best vocals of all time?

I'm going to go with Roy Orbison, he was so effortless, don't think there has been anyone like him, he had a tragic life too.

Plant, Mercury, Cobain, Cash, Cornell... so many others better (but Roy was good no doubt).

Plant was amazing for like 2-3 years then he ****ed his voice and was never the same. His voice is so much worse after Zeppelin 4.

For rock music it's gotta be Freddie.
Hey idiot, Im knot knowing his style. Maybe his free. Maybe the dog in his crew, perhaps not....im not God or psychic idiot. Experience my neg.

This is probably a pedestrian choice, but I always thought Steve Perry's voice was powerful, distinctive, unique, and perfect for big arena rock concerts.

I knew a guy that worked in a significant role for years in the music industry who told me that Mike Patton of Faith No More was considered to have one of the greatest voices (and ranges) of all rock frontmen.

Don Henley

Jon Anderson still sounds exactly the same. Blessed (or had his balls removed?). He's maybe one of three (?) singers in history of the world the kept his entire range. Rob Halford is another that's on that extreme end of the bell curve.

..on the other end of that curve are guys like Brian Johnson.

He was losing his voice before he even joined the band on Back in Black, lol.

Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury. Stevie Wonder too.

Also Otis Redding, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole when we are talking about the oldies.
