Sounds like a politician trying to sink his hooks into a wealthy company. There's good reason for this to be investigated, but if it's just unimproved land, what the fuk can someone really do?

Genius play by a group of investors who are going to laugh all the way to the bank when they sell it back to the US Government for triple the price.


-see land around a main military base is up for sale
-make a brand new LLC, hard enough to trace be mysterious
-start rumors with news media how 1 company purchase all of it
-throw gas at conspiracy theories
-cry wolf loud enough for a government investigation
-government investigates and finds nothing on purchaser
-be force to buy most of it back to ensure no national security issues in future.

-purchaser willing to sell at 3x price
-use military budget to buy them out
-???
