Anyone else's mind melt when other people won't watch an animated movie?

Anyone else's mind melt when other people won't watch an animated movie?
"Have you seen the blah blah movie?"
"That animated one?"
"Yeah"
"Nah man, I can't do animation."
What?
I'm sure there's a bunch of you here, so help me understand how something being animated means you can't enjoy it. Most of these same guys enjoy things like South Park, Family Guy, Rick and Morty ,etc., but seem to have this mental block for a feature film solely based on the fact that it's animated.
I just can't get it.

"Nah man, I can't do animation."

I'll watch animated if it looks good. Of course I watched a lot when my son was little. Haven't been interested in any for a while. None of them look that good.
