LOL if you have 401(k) managed by others (aka Shekelstein)

LMAO at giving away 2/3 of your Retirement Fund Growth

2/3 == 66% goes to Mr. Shekelstein

And you wonder why Jews control the world finance.

That is the way to go.

Unfortunately, most people don't want to sit down and try to figure it out.

In the end, we are all going to be stock traders, whether we want to be or not.

Or some people can just use the company-provided 401k and pay the standard management fee? It trends with the market anyway. In some cases the employer will even cover that.

Im just not understanding what the issue is. Either pay someone or do it yourself.

Big point of the video was how bad the "management fees" eat up the supposed growth. And the whole retirement system is rigged against the average worker. Wall Street knows this and doesn't want to change a thing.

Issue is people just have no idea how Wall Street is taking advantage them without providing anything of value in return.

Parasitic System.

I can agree with that. The real problem was when companies decided to get rid of pensions and left the individual to fend for themselves.

When you say manage, did you actually trade? And what matters is % of portfolio, if that 6 figures is a big chunk, yeah, you did it wrong.. 2 years is nothing for a retirement account.

Most 401ks are gay. They should allow you to invest in ETF's or at least pick your own stocks. Otherwise fees eat up everything.

Many larger plans do. You move your money to a linked brokerage account where you can invest in arbitrary stocks/ETFs. Also in my experience the default choices have been sane, typically vanguard target retirement with expense ratios of less than .1%, but that may not be the norm.

My 403B is fixed-fee, $54 total/year. Which today is 0.02% of the account value.
Expense ratios for my various funds are 0.04%, 0.19%, and 0.31%. For that last one, 10-year average return is 14%.
