Lived a life of proving others wrong.
Grew up with so little and had to fight my way through every dam thing alone.
I'm a skinny twink and will never bench 250? I show up benching 275.
I'm a broke cheapskate? I will show up in a ferarri.
Chip on shoulder mindset. Many sports fans will lust over athletes such as Jordan and Kobe for having that killer mindset. Unfortunately, it doesn't translate to the real world.
After living this way my entire life, I realize it is an addiction. All my goals are created to prove someone wrong. I have a hard time getting motivated to do something that I want personally.
Doing this has helped me live and achieve more than others. But is this a good way to live?

NGL, proving others wrong is what drove me to get my own car, and eventually get my own place. But you should never set goals for the approval of others, especially if they go out of their way to doubt your abilities. After living this way my entire life, I realize it is an addiction. Do it for yourself because you want to and so you can look back and thank your past self for doing whatever goal/milestone you set for yourself.
