Anyone else can't handle kids getting killed in movies?

I remember seeing Jaws when I was young. I've never rewatched that movie because of the scene with the kid on the raft.

Didn't use to bother me much but really don't like it now. Also skip over news stories about kids dying. Those bother me a lot more now than when I was younger.

I wish it bothered me. I was so abused as a child and was threatened with dying so much that kids dying seems like a totally regular thing to me. Seeing it in a movie doesn't move me really.

Doesn't bother me...I have a 3 yo girl and a 4 month old son. Seen so many things when I was a paramedic on screen deaths don't bother me.


What does bother me is horror movies where kids are possessed. Example that movie MAMA. My daughter looks like the younger girl. No thanks

You could argue an old person dying is actually a sadder thing than a young one, at least to them.

It really depends. A baby dying is technically less sad than an older kid or adult IMO. But of course a child dying is sadder than an adult because the child's missing the opportunity to live all those years the older person got to have.

People talking about pet deaths has made me realize I went the opposite direction with animals. Pet deaths bothered me more when I was younger and less now.

I saw exactly one real video of a kid dying. He was in a store with his dad, playing behind him. Couldn't have been more than 3. Dad trips and falls backwards onto his son, killing him instantly. Ruined my entire day.

Yeah, when spiderman called out to Tony Stark as he began to turn to ash at the end of Infinity War was a little more than I could handle. I had to swear off Marvel movies after that.

you are the reason modern video games don't let you kill kids. Pisses me off especially when they make children NPCs extremely bratty and annoying. Good thing there's mods.
