No. I'd say some tribes in the Amazon are free. Some indigenous people on Indian islands are free. Maybe even some of the nomads in Africa are free. But not in the western or eastern countries

In any society, you're effectively chained by societal rules. Murder and destruction of others' property for example will never be allowed.

According to who? That kind of scares me. Soviet union claimed to be meeting people's basic needs and just threw them into work camps and gave them a tiny portion of flour every once in a while. The "free" prisoners started eating each other. Also look up the holodomore. I don't think government and freedom can ever really go together. Unless a government is small and underfunded. That's best case scenario imo....
