I've been thinking about making a personal thread for a while, especially as this is a pretty big year for me. I'm not a very promiment miscer, so I'm assuming a lot of this is new for most.

Cliffs of Cliffs:

At 22 I changed a lot of things and it put me on a good path.
I moved country (UK to Poland) 8 years ago, been dating a girl for 5 years.
She's moving to another country this month, and that means I've got to move again soon.

Ask me anything: especially regarding solo mountaineering, quitting video games, nofap, beating inceldom, growing up in the UK or life in Poland.

Stage 1:

Grew up in the UK
Worked in retail and hosp. for 13 years.
Incel from age 20-26. Lost V at 19, dated for a year, she cheated I sucked with girls anyway.
Hobby was video games and books, started working out at 21 to stop people's concerns about my health (skinny) and looking like a girl (feminine face).
Social circle was from school, they also could not do well with girls. They wanted to club and go on night-long road trips.

Stage 2:

Stopped pining over and developing crushes on girls. Friends and colleagues only.
Started mountaineering, and learning guitar/keyboard. Mountaineering stuck, wild camping even.
Quit video games for 6 years.
Quit fapping for 3 years.
Distanced myself from all male friends that wanted to just club and drink.
Travelled to Poland to spend 2 weeks in the Tatry/Tatra mountains.
Made friends. Found a girl. Loved everyone's traditional values on courting and partner criteria.
Saw a better career opportunity, kept dating girl and moved here.
Now miscers think I'm Polish.
Not dating that girl anymore, but dated multiple girls too, I'm on my third girlfriend and it's been 5 years.
Lived here for 8 years

Stage 3:

Moving to a third country (Undisclosed for now).

I wouldn't say I've made it yet, still gotta do the whole buy my own place, get married have kids etc. And my current relationship has been long distance for a while - just different cities (not countries).

Her prospects in Poland are dire. She's a classical musician, and most musicians that graduate in Poland are either stuck on low salaries or just work in a different field and sacrifice less of themselves (No expensive instrument maintenance, no practicing in your personal time). So she is taking her Masters in a country that has better opportunities, remuneration, and the uni in question is reputable around the world.

It's a common lie taught to children. That they should learn an instrument - nothing is spoken about regarding real life financial prospects. It's just so families can benefit from free entertainment, or to brag to neighbours. The result is that the children learn no technical/practical skills or don't accumulate experience from going into the workplace after school.

The country being moved to also has plenty of opportunities for me to wild camp and get away from the frustrating aspects of Poland that I've come to learn about over time.

I think we indulge in our vices too often, and to exacerbate things we are told it's okay to indulge. Quitting for 6 years made me realise I have the power to mitigate gaming if I desire. Same for nofap, it taught me I could get a handle on my sexual complexes. I only stopped nofap for health concerns. Gaming I picked up again because of my girlfriend.

So video games are not the issue, it's how we respond to them and how things like Twitch and Youtube facilitate them. The main crux of gaming problems which goes unresolved is in the industry, in things like unfinished releases, season passes, DLC and microtransactions etc. Not to mention woke idealogy and poor treatment of staple, beloved characters for "shock and awe" or for the sake of diversity. "You remember Ratchet and Clank? Well Ratchet likes male Lombaxes now. Clank is also non-binary". And it keeps happening because people still buy the games or uninformed twitch channels leverage the virality of specific games.
