You realize all these rules and judgments are a chit test right? And caring about what a woman thinks, much less a random woman on the internet, is how you fail.
Women are idiots. They make decisions and opinions based purely on how they feel, they do not use any kind of thought, logic or intelligence, only emotions. They had to invent the stupid concept of emotional intelligence just so they could have some claim to having intelligence. They are stupid. Why do you care what society thinks? The main issue is if you plan to pump and dump 18 year olds.
There are two types of 18 year old:
Sloots - They're already a lost cause you have your fun and she'll be done with you pretty quickly.
Green - They're not very experienced in relationships, she'll see you as a long(er) term prospect who has a job, security her youth adds value that you might want to keep around.
Date the green one seriously enough and 1-2 years later she'll be 20 you'll be 32 and there'll be less stigma about it.
Met my GF when she was 19, now she's 24 and I just get compliments for it. Because I kept dating her for the long haul, not leaving her by the wayside for the next piece of young tang.

One 18 year old can be wildly different from another, and the same is true for a 30 year old, or any age for that matter.

In much earlier times, as soon as a woman had her period, she was fair game (not suggesting that should be accepted by todays standards). At least in the scenario expressed in OP, the girl is a legal adult.

on a biological level it is ok, only 12 years age gap. Successful man, with income and high potential for building strong household. Dating healthy female in her prime child-bearing age. What is not to like? I would say it is his civic duty. Much better than same man dating 30 yo woman, whos fertility in sharp decline.

The age difference is pretty huge considering most people's personalities and molded and change the most between the ages of 18-25. Whatever reason shes attracted to you at 18 will change drastically as she goes through her 20's.
Plus there's gap in relative interests. at 18 she's thinking about college and probably studying for her drivers test while you're already saving for retirement and thinking about what ETF's to invest in for your 401k. There's very little for you both to relate to. Essentially, the relationship is destined to fail.

Part of it is jealously. Also 30 year old single women have really high expectations in a relationship and tend to artificially push the relationship along farther than the natural flow, which can be off-putting. There's a reason why they are still single at 30.

When I was 32 I started dating a 17 year old. Long straight blond hair. Light blue eyes. Great face. Awesome body. Around 115 pounds.
Together for 4 years. Lived together. She still contacts me to do this day.
Nice girl but looking back probably not a great decision. I was a race horse trainer and owner and she grew up in that industry so we met doing that and she ended up helping me for most of those years. Race horse training is a 24/7 every day of the week job. At the barn everyday to train and then race 3-4 nights a week.
So it worked out that way and she was very beautiful so that didn't hurt lol.
But she was like any young girl. Immature and annoying at times. I wasn't looking to get married so it just all kind of worked out.
And btw no one every really said a bad word about the age difference. My dad loved it lol. He loved to flirt with her in an old man kind of way.
