Is smoking the worst thing you can do?

-Kills your appetite, which makes it really hard to hit the gym and see any gains.
-As a result of eating less, you have less drive to go to the gym, so you lack motivation and drive to improve yourself
-When you do hit the gym, your body is running low on oxygen because of all the nicotine in your body
-Smoking is expensive and addictive
-Bad for your health, and also makes you care less about your diet. Brb wake up and no appetite, just drink a coffee and smoke a cigarette
-Lack of energy during the day, making you lazy

I'd rather smoke than be a power bottom. Just saying.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Soldiers in elite fighting units probably smoke and would tear you limb from limb, and use your head as an ash tray.

Smoking isn't as bad as the government wants you to believe it is. Most people can smoke a few cigs per day and live a normal healthy life. Obviously smoking like 2 packs per day is going to kill you.

I switched entirely to vaping, because I wanted my cardio to improve. It's been a great thing.

But what's the point in smoking?

Soldiers in elite units that require strength, cardio, etc, like the SAS or Navy Seals or whatever, possibly smoke many cigs per day, at least they certainly used to.

How can this not be relevant to your thread?

I listened to Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking to help stop smoking.

Started smoking in 2015, and quit 2 weeks ago for surgery.

It's pretty bad for you, but along with working out and being on my feet all day at work, my blood pressure was like 108/80 and more heart rate was 60-80 bpm (with a claritin sinus) at the surgery centre.

Now to help with my cravings, I bought nicorette 4mg lozenges and scarcely use my vape.

I will probably stop smoking for good including marijuana.

OK, for the last time, i will try & make it clear:

No, smoking is not the worst thing you could do.

You can work out, go to the gym, run, swim & still smoke cigs. & you can piss on your competition, who do the same exercises & who don't smoke cigs. You just train harder.

Its not ideal, & it shouldn't be done, but it can be done & and is being done.

Even worse maybe would be to not smoke cigs, and also not exercise at all, than to smoke cigs, & exercise.

Now if that's not in a nutshell, I don't know what is.

It's something to do. It's a mild drug that calms you down.

Nicotine is the hook. Smoking isn't the only way to get it. Tons of people use chewing tobacco, and that seems even weirder.

coincidentally, maybe 1 minute ago i brought my smokes inside from the car. no....it is one of the greatest things you can do. I immediately felt better after smoking so much so that i said it out loud. I was ruminating how fukd my life is because i didn't marry the love of my life....smoking for minute at least gave me some solace.

No, vaping is. Remember those vaping warning commercials a few years back? Vaping is more dangerous than cigarette smoking, consuming alcohol, or chugging a bottle of cyanide combined.
