Yamaha makes quality throughout their entire line. theres some top tier models vintage yamahas but too pricey.

honestly you gotta play a bunch of em. best sounding guitar I've ever heard and played was a vintage Martin. was like holyshyt...almost like it was magical. but you can't just buy a vintage martin and hope it'll be as good. all sound different.

oh yeah...the advice: there are great guitars all over the spectrum. you can buy a cheap diamond or an expensive piece of coal.
