Is Insidious: Red Door any good?

Supposedly it's the highest grossing horror movie in 2023 yet no one is talking about it:

In for opinions.

I like horror, but overall am skeptical until I hear some audience reviews. I don't trust critic reviews of horror movies.

nah it sucks i just watched it last week

it follows the same formula and the acting is ok, good production but the writing is bad. it was also produced by the father in the series not john woo so he basically just emulates the first movie but with different characters. i would not reccommended it unless you got nothing to do or like the series for what it is. but its not a must see.

6/10 at best

yes ive seen better

someone mentioned Last Shift in another thread and i saw that yesturday. was surprisingly good. gave me goosebubmps at a few parts. would reccommended that one over Red Door

I mentioned that and the conjuring and no one really talked about any so I assumed they were not scary.

People on misc kept mentioning Sinister, Last shift and Smile.

Saw a snippet of smile:


It gave me a wtf is going on?

It gave me a wtf is going on?[/QUOTE]conjuring 1 and 2 are amazing. i didnt like 3 and i dont really like insidious that much but the first 2 are decent. i dont like the spin offs like annabell or the nun. those were lame imo. dont get the hype for sinister, its ok but i saw that other thread and people were praising it wtf? it was decent at best. I'm waiting on smile to come out for download.

i liked black phone a lot as well which is newer
