Ohio Special Election

So Ohio is having a special election today to raise the requirement needed to pass an amendment to the stat constitution to 60% majority. Ohio Democrat Party requires a vote of 60% majority to change their constitution. Ohio Republican party requires a vote of 66% majority to change their constitution. So clearly the opposition is measure is not a matter of principle in regard to majority number, but rather a desire to push their own agenda which they cannot get the state to approve at a 60% majority. There are some really corrupt players.....why are we not surprised??
