Anybody cure their lower back pain? How?
Comes and goes, but is always slightly there at the least.
When it's bad, I cant even bend over/sneeze standing up/put on shoes/bend over to lift the toilet seat......
Have no idea what sets it off, but when it's bad nothing is comfortable and I feel like one wrong move in normal everyday life activities and I'm going to paralyze myself.
Usually bad like 1-2 weeks every 2-3 months then it's fine......can run/jump/squat heavy blah blah.....then boom out of nowhere I wake up one day and damn near cant even get out of bed.
Possible causes specific to me...
-Desk job
-Broken my right knee 2 times in the last 12 years
-^ most likely effed up my whole right side....hip/knee/all of it
-6'6" & 37 (tour is over)
-Mattress might need a change
-Deadlifted (with not great form) in the 600's when I was in my late 20's
Should I just go see a doctor? Wife wants me to go see a Chiropractor but we all know they aren't real medical professionals.
What do boys?

I'm guessing it's a herniated disc. But it's best to get it checked by the doctor.

Hyper extensions? Gave me a strong lower back like nothing else. Even doing them with no weight I think will be good for you. Keep blood flowing down there often

Chiros really just are in the business of temporary pain relief, they'll put some electrodes on your back and it'll feel better for a day or two. Get some imaging done on your back to see if you have a disc issue and go from there.

You definitely need some imaging, specifically an MRI.
If it's a disc issue, find a highly rated surgeon and have a discectomy done. Depending on your insurance you may need injections first, but anything other than surgery is just a band aid.
Had my discectomy done in December of 2019 and haven't looked back.

Stop being a lazy phuck.
Sitting at your desk is probably the biggest contributor. You need to build and maintain the muscles that allow you to remain in a better posture.
Try to focus on improving your seated posture.
Srs.
Actively attempt to maintain a perfect posture multiple times per day (and observe how long you do it for each time until you find yourself slouching).
Keep doing it until a good posture becomes natural. Also, don't be a phggot when lifting things either.

i start every single workout with the low back machine and then abs for this very reason.
but if a nerve is pressing on it then you will need to seek better options.

I have a client with this problem. We're trying regression exercises like DB deadlift, prone bench row, DB row etc. along with warm ups of pelvic thrust situps and TRX rows and cooldowns of deadhangs and foam rolls.

Go to the doctor. Whatever you do don't go to a chiro first. I'm not a chiro hater but I wouldn't let one touch me before a doctor said it's ok

Do not go to a chiropractor. You need to see a doctor and get an MRI before making a move.

Chiro did wonders for me. If I have an injury that make me at least 50% better in a visit. I have an inversion table and it's ok, but the best thing for me is 20 minutes of ice, 20 minutes of heat 3x a day and 3 ibuprofen in the morning and 3 at night until it goes away.
I hurt my back in '09 and it gets injured easily since. Since my last round at the chiro in 2020 it's been way better though. I haven't had a bad injury in 3 years now that I think of it.

My back is wrecked; L4/L5 and L5/S1 (that the next one?) discs are so degenerated they're pretty much gone, the vertebrae between them also has a stress fracture. Sciatic nerve pain all the time, epidural didn't help, rehab didn't help (no sht but insurance made me), chiro helps a bit but only feel better for a day or so. No doctor will prescribe any pain killers since the opiod epidemic, even though they can see my back is fcked.
So far kratom helps a bit, I keep it low dose at 3-4 grams per day but only 3 days per week to keep tolerance low. Also decompression really helps, though the relief does not last long it does feel really good when stretched.
This was well worth the cost:https://www.amazon.com/Stamina-Inlin...%2C206&sr=8-26

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

The weirdest thing for me was that traveling (like on vacation) would cause me to have diarrhea.... I always assumed that too much restaurant food was causing it, but there's something about me being somewhere different that upsets my subconscious. I also would develope severe foot pain while I was traveling LMAO. Also acid reflux, back pain, etc etc.
When I read his book and he listed the most common psychosumatic disorders I literally had like 85% of them.
And they were all completely unrelated, no one could have guessed the ailments unless they knew it was psychosumatic issues.
I relate the physical pain to repressed anxiety. Now that I know this, I can combat the issues with my brain.
Threw my lower back out doing nothing, and I knew it was my brain. I meditated on it for 24 hours and it was entirely gone. I'm talking I had 8/10 pain, could barely stand up, all the way to 1/10 pain, I didn't barely notice. All within 24 hours.

I have several torn and bulged discs
Physical therapy did nothing. Cortisone shots were worthless. Chiropractors have gotten me back on my feet.
2 years and thousands of dollars later and I still hurt every day. Let me know if you find a cure. You should probably see your regular doctor to order an MRI at least
Also tried yoga. After about 3 or 4 weeks my back was worse than ever and still hasn’t come back to where it was

before wasting time and money of a doctor try stretching your butt muscles first. srs.
Think of how its all assembled back there, if your glutes are tight they will pull on the back muscles causing pain.
Start with this a bunch of times a day for a couple weeks and see if it clears up. i had a similar thing and stretched my glutes like 6-7 times a day and after about 3 days it started to be noticeably better.
Do 3 sets each side for 30 seconds per rep.
After 2 weeks it was fully gone.
Do it like this but instead of having the non stretching foot on the floor, elevate it like on a coffee table so its about at a 90 degree angle. Gives you a better stretch that way.
