Brock Lesnar Reportedly Taking a Hiatus From WWE Following SummerSlam

During today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided a status update on Brock Lesnar in WWE following last weekend’s SummerSlam 2023 event. The show saw Cody Rhodes beat Lesnar in the rubber match of their series.

Meltzer reported that Brock Lesnar will be off WWE TV “for a while.” He added that Lesnar won’t be back anytime soon, at least for the next four months. Meltzer stated that Lesnar will be back later on and that the former champion will be back for WrestleMania Season.

Meltzer also noted that Lesnar was advertised by WWE for a premium live event happening later this year, but Lesnar will no longer be a part of it.

Yeah it was kind of due for the part-timer Lesnar, he works like 4 matches every year, so he's already worked 4 this year....so his next match will likely be at Wrestlemania 40. I am guessing it now Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther?

My sources say he will be taking the rest of the year off. He’ll return in 2024 in time for mania. Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar must happen next.

Not many big matches left for him to do, until and unless WWE creates big stars in a couple of years...but yeah him doing a program with Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn or Bray Wyatt or Gunther...would be fine with me...

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Injured At WWE Summerslam

https://411mania.com/wrestling/brock...we-summerslam/

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Brock Lesnar suffered an injury early in his match with Cody Rhodes at WWE Summerslam last Saturday. However, he was able to finish the match and post-match angle. As previously reported, Lesnar is expected to go back on hiatus from WWE. There’s no word on what type of injury it was, or the severity.

The current plan is for The Beast Incarnate to return around the time of the Royal Rumble and then appear through Wrestlemania season. It is possible he may be back for the November Saudi Arabia show, but that currently isn’t the plan.
