What’s it like? Liveable or just a place to visit

I was in Gibraltar in college and they arranged a ferry to take us over to Morocco for a quick day trip. Turned out to be like a big scam or something because we got there and all we were allowed to do was take turns riding a camel in a circle while other guys tried to sell us Hash. Biggest waste of a day ever but I am sure if you went, not on a school organized trip, it could be great if you went to Casablanca. I've heard its amazing there.
