What happened to misc brahs and brahdettes?

This use to be a place of lolsyness and giga chads, now every other thread is about ropeing oneself.

The world has definitely changed in the ten years I was away from misc, coming back it’s like reuniting with an old friend that use to be happy but is now a depressed alcoholic that constantly jokes about deep throating a shotgun.

Are y’all really dat depressed in here? Or is it just all jokes? Srs

I honestly blame the media platforms, news and social for the decay in mental health for a lot of people. Presenting forever depressing news whilst social media presenting unrealistic standards and phony relationships. You only see the good side of them on ********, I promise you they are just as every bit as unhappy as you are brah.

Half the rope threads are about low self esteem and not being able to get a girlfriend. First and foremost a getting a gf won’t solve all your problems srs. Sure it’s good to have someone intimate to confide into but you will also share their problems.

Other half is lonelessly and friend circles disappearing. It’s just a sad fact of life that the older you get the more people only hang out with their significant other and kids. Will maybe get one night a month to spend with friends if you’re lucky. This isn’t that your friends aren’t your friends anymore it’s just they’ve responsibilities and children to raise. They probably do want to hang out but can’t be assed having their gf make their life hell for two weeks as a result.

Might sound corny but focus on yourself first. If you can’t stand yourself, how you expect someone else too? Write a list all the chit you got going for you (home owner, can drive, full set of teeth) and then a list of all the chit you don’t got going on for you (receding Pube, no gf, scared to talk to waiters). Focus on what is in your control and change actually do something about.

Start to make positive changes, take your ass off of social media and the news. And talk about the chit dats bothering you. If you can’t afford a therapist go to a church it’s free brah. If you actually are depressed put down the booze and cigs. Take a dry month. Give yourself some clarity of mind and face your emotions instead of trying to drown them out. The longer you let those emotions build up because you think you can handle them, that no chit bothers you anymore, the worse it will be when you finally fall apart.

Life is too short. Honestly in a hundred years time all of this will be meaningless. So go have some fun and bring the lols. Enjoy the time you have on this planet and do the chit you want to do, not what social constraints want you to do. Write a list of all the chit you want to do before you go and start making your whey through (threesome with hbb’s, get a chitty tattoo, climb the pyramids naked). Give yourself something to look forward too.

I know it isn't so easy to focus your mind in a positive direction. Easy to get beat down by events or stuck in thoughts of the past if you don't work through that crap so you can let it go.

Plenty of miscers still stuck in park for whatever reason in their 30s/40s. Promise you that at some point after you pass 50 [unless you are a potato] you will realize that you are on the clock and time is ticking away.

Do as much of what you want to do as you can while you can.

Old misc is still very much a part of posters who were around to experience old misc. It's a state of mind on here. That's why most of us oldchool brahs keep posting. It was always a fun little quirky place where people who actually lifted can dick around and post nonsense for the lolz as well as discuss lifting. Now it's become this black hole chasm that attracts miserable/angry/bitter/jaded people who've failed at life. Tiny minority, though. Even if it doesn't seem like it. Never forget - tyranny of the minority. The most mentally deranged yell the loudest giving the illusion that their numbers are higher than they are, but they're not. They're like schit flies you swat away here to get to the aforementioned lolz.
