Are you upper, middle, or lower class for your area?

The most useful and latest info I can find is the site below, which pertains to 2021 data for USA.

CNBC Article: Here’s how much money it takes to be considered middle class in 20 major U.S. cities

I'm pretty confident that the numbers in the chart are "gross income." If that's true, I'm technically upper class, roughly $40k above the highest end of middle class income. If it's net income then I'm right at the higher end of middle class income.

Where do you lie?

Thanks for the feedback, I just put images in the OP instead to show the chart. By and large if you gross $150k+ you're probably in upper class, unless you are in the most expensive areas.

Our household income is 168k in the NY metro area (suburb, more of an exurb really, we're 60 miles outside of NYC)

Pretty much average middle class status here. It's Long Island, very high COL.
