I get jealous of WFH people
After the pandemic, people still having jobs they essentially WFH or at the very least half their days are at home
People working like 24 hours a week of real work, rest of the time doing whatever y'all want at home
What a life some of y'all still got post pandemic

Also, The day after Labor day and into October is called September Surge where where is essentially a hiring explosion because companies are trying to end the fiscal year strong so they open a lot of job postings.

Plus noone wants to fight traffic to and from work anymore.
the best part about working from home is when your shift is done you just close your laptop and you're already home. You'd be surprised how much more motivate you can be to do things after work when you have that 25-30 minutes (that you'd normally spend commuting) to yourself.

-they come in at 8am
-go directly to the bathroom
-get coffee chatting about"mah kids," "mah wife," "how about that weather?"in the break room
-get to their desk and surf the internet
-then its time for the 8:30 meeting where they're on their phone the whole time.
-When the meeting ends they'll do little bits of work here and there, but most of the time is spent playing solitaire
-They'll be up out of the seat a lot of the time chatting about "the game" last night (or whatever sportsball event occurred), flirt a bit with the sloots, and then its time for lunch.
-They come back from lunch and there's another meeting
-They peck at their work here and there while stealthily surfing the net trying not to doze off because of the sugar crash from the crap they ate at lunch
-Then 30minutes until its time to clock out they're rushing to finish the work they had all day to complete.
-and thats just on a monday....

Instead of applying for some $50/hr supervisory/managerial role where I have to be busy with responsibilities, i'm applying for $40/hr mid level positions. I get two $40/hr jobs and thats $80/hr.
The only drawback is when i'd usually only have about 3-4.5 hours of work to do on a single job I now have to spend all 8 hours working, but for $170k/year, its worth it.

In fact i'd say people were better workers when they were allowed to WFH. If you only have about 3 hours of work to do in a day and you're in the office you'll spread it out throughout the day to pass the time, but if you have the same work load while working from home you'll crank that chit out and be done before lunch.

Said this multiple times in the misc, will say again.
During 2019-2021 I viewed WFH as worth "$30k." If my job suddenly required me to go into the office regularly, I'd consider other company offers that either A) paid the same but WFH, or B) were in office but salary was $30k+ more. But it should go without saying, that moving from WFH to Office would mean to me that I'm in a transitionary period.

Thing is, I won't watch these shows on my free time. because I feel like i'm wasting time vegging out staring at a screen.

I sometimes don't mind the car rides on occasion going to and from work, but they can really end up draining some valuable time I could otherwise be doing other things
