Any here ever seriously dated someone they met while out and about randomly through “cold approach”/“warm approach” whatever you want to call it. Such as at a supermarket, cafe, library etc. Meet someone exchange numbers and then date.

Not talking about hooking up from a bar or club, talking about dating seriously.

Everyone in relationships I know met at school, work or through friends with a small amount meeting on an app. The only girlfriend I’ve ever had I met at work.

i dated a girl I met at a party that I didn’t hook up with at first. approached her at party got her # went on date later that week dated 4ish years on off

also dated a girl i cold approached at the gym. saw her maybe twice before, third time I went up to her flirted got her IG, asked her out a few days later. dated for a couple months

never really tried raw absolute stranger cold approach before tho, like first time seeing them at a store or something

I met a chick at the pool while traveling, and we ended up dating for 3 months. Turned out to be totally crazy and a manipulator.

nope. banged a couple of people like that though recently and made me realize i can bang/date people i meet in real life too and not just the apps. i tend to lean into compartmentalizing.

Of course. A girlfriend I dated for two years I met at the state track meet my senior year. All the athletes from my area were in one hotel, so after dinner a bunch of us went bouncing around hanging out in others' rooms. I noticed her and started talking to her, ended up talking to her for hours, and it went from there.

I dated one chick 4-5 months who approached me at a black tie event. While not a serious relationship, I dated one for a short while that I met while filling out a job application when I was in college. She never ended up working there but we went out several times, not just a hookup. Of course a few I met at parties, random event social events. Some hookups, some I dated for short stints. I met my wife in a bar. Now we have a house, kids, minivan, etc.

Up until about 20-30 years ago, everyone did this.

I met my now wife randomly. I was out playing disc golf, she was taking a child she was watching out for at a walk at the same park. I heard her speaking zulu, which I know a bit of, so I said hi and started chatting and then we hit it off.

If men didn't fear rejection their lives would be much better.

I only know of 1 person who got with, stayed with, and married someone random they met while out....

Everyone else is like, friend of friend, classmate, coworker, employed within the same industry, etc etc etc.
