Just read about this on wsb and if you put yourself into Musk's shoes, you definitely want that $X.

Not a bad idea. You need steel to make cars. He makes cars so it makes sense to have some ownership in a company that makes steel.

He bought Twitter to control information and social media.
If he wanted to buy US Steel that badly he would've done so already.

I didn't say he wanted to buy it badly. But Elon could easily have other plans.


Don't forget the man founded The Boring Company. If he has plans on expanding that project he could easily need a good deal of steel at his disposal. If he is in negotiations for building tunnels. He might intend on buying a company that will be used to provide materials.




Its really hard to know because he's a smart businessman who likes to joke and troll along the way. He may have no intentions on buying US steel.
