Feel like I'm getting gaslit by the general public and I'm trying to understand why people are reporting this movie as so amazing? This movie has an IMDB rating of 8.6 which ranks it as one of the best films of all time on the website. I'm having a rough time grasping the rating after seeing two times now. I'd put this movie at 7/10 maximum, but more honestly a 6.5 or 6 because I was actually bored.

Maybe one of the reasons this movie is so hyped up because of the ongoing Russia-AmericaUkraine conflict that has nukes on peoples minds and it feels comforting seeing the US as nuclear victors in a movie?

First thing I noticed about this movie was how the ongoing background music had an EPIC-drama mood to it that was completely unjustified and unearned based on the kindof mundane scenes happening on screen, as if the movie was trying to tell me how to feel (unsuccesfully) because what was happening on screen wasn't delivering.

Felt the same as when I'm listening to a girl tell me about her day and she's super emotional about the most boring/mundane details, and for the life of me, I just can't care or g.a.f.

Ironically, Iwould recommendthe movie to others because so many people seem to love it, and if I think you'd like it, then I'd recommend it to you too. But I think it sucks. Felt like a sleepy-time history lesson with no engaging sections. Could have read wikipedia.

Yeah, I was actually looking forward to the movie honestly. Felt like it was a nice change of pace to the regular crap Hollywood pumps out, which it is I suppose. Then I saw the 3 hour run time and realized that this subject matter wasn't something I was interested in THAT badly. I'll catch it when it comes out on streaming or something I guess.

I went to see it a couple weeks ago. Walked out at the one hour mark. Never walked out of a movie in my life.

Only movie this year I'm giving a chance is Dune part 2 because the first one fuking blew my mindhole. Saw it with my dad and we loved it so much I bought a big OLED TV and the 4k bluray disc so we can watch it again before going to see the new one.

Dune also blew my mindhole, and unexpectedly. Sat down for some Dune like "i am 12 and what is this?" and got my eye opened.
