Pulling an all-nighter
My sleep schedule has been MESSED up for months now.
I work the evening hours, so my ideal routine looks like the following:
- Wake up early, shower, coffee, misc, gym
- Video Game/study/chores
- Work
- Video Game
- Sleep 8 hours
Instead I've been staying up way too late, therefore I also wake up way too late, and have to skip the gym and go straight to work, cycle repeats. It's fun but only short term, not sustainable.
The only way I know how to make drastic sleep schedule changes is by just pulling an all-nighter and then sleeping right when I need to the next night.
When's the last time you guys pulled an all-nighter?

If you're able to function for months like this and wake up early, why try such a drastic measure to change?
usually that method is hit or miss for me

There's something nice about having ample time before work to just take the day slower, brace for impact, that sort of thing. If you're able to function for months like this and wake up early, why try such a drastic measure to change?

Haven’t done an all nighter in ages serious.
Like getting my sleep too much and don’t work nights anymore.

Currently wake up 12-2PM Can't fall asleep until around 5AM. Nice to see the sunrise though. Any attempt to sleep before 5 just ends up being a catnap and body is restless.

Replace the time spent on video games with the gym. Profit. You might not want to do it but you'll be using your available time more wisely. That or cut 8 hours of sleep to 6. Most adults get 6 anyways so I bet that extra 45-1 hour is just laying in bed. My Dad's almost 80 and he still gets up at 6 every morning and goes to work and comes home at around 6-7 and is off to bed 9-10. Probably actually sleeps between 11-12 to 6 and gets 6-7 hours a night.
