Why are college sports broadcasted and so big in America?

College basketball, college football seem to be massive over there, why?

Half of all Americans are kind of low intellect, NPC types who follow the crowd like a bunch of lemmings. I like to watch sports, too, but very rarely spend any money on it, which is the whole reason behind it all.

America is pretty raw. Youthful strength is kind of the main market.

as others said, most nobodies go to dead end schools where the only people with a chance are athletes who can become pros, like the poor kids worship musicians and athletes instead of actual role models
