They were flying prettty close to the sun. I wonder if someone important made a call.

The important part is now both the government and consumer has been trained to accept unexplained, exponentially higher prices for extended periods of time. The egg MOGGERS know that politicians aren't going to touch them and consumers know the price might triple or quadruple overnight.
