roughneck if you have strong back and sober

commercial fishing, hard getting into, you can start by drinking in fishermen's pubs and go from there

concrete pourer/finisher, get hardhat and steel toed boots from salvation army and you are gtg

day worker. there are agencies looking for reliable and sober guys. Vehicle and cell phone is an asset.

You don't need a degree to be a general contractor. I signed up for some construction classes starting Monday just to learn--we'll see how it goes.

any job can look bad if you look at the negative of it. how bout wow you help out the communtiy showing drivers to slow down so workers can build the road you'll be driving on in 3.5 months.

Patch your CV up brah! Srs!

Go online, Reddit has a great source of resources for this (inb4 negs) that can help. Search google/Reddit for Free online courses/qualifications. Literally endless lists and multiple threads to go through.

Don’t write one CV but multiple and tailor them for whatever field/job you’re going for. If you need help hit me up. I’m electrical engineering by trade but have made multiple CV’s for other fields of engineering (mechanical/chemistry/automotive) to keep my options open.

Whatever job you apply for do some research, watch some YouTube videos on it and you’ll be golden for most interviews srs.

Most interviews are an hour, possibly 2 if you’ve got to demonstrate practical skills (one interview had me diagnose and fix a controller panel). But bottom line you only have to pull the wall over their eyes for an hour. Go play for interviews is to ask them questions about themselves, makes them think you care and counts the clock down.

Most companies have a trial period of 6 months. Basically the company wants to make sure you can do the job and good fit for the company. This gives you 6 months to learn the job and make sure you enjoy working for them.

there are certs that could get you about $80-85k starting out w/no degree and i would list them here but if i did since i have one cert and am currently studying for the other, you might be able to figure out my job title, so fuk that.

just know its possible. i searched for 2+ years combing thru every cert imaginable til I found two and the right contact in the industry.
