The way they hold your "outstanding" matches on Hinge back from you and only let you message up to 1 of them per week without paying is so ridiculous. Then they want you to pay like $3+ each for "roses" that are supposedly some sort of priority messaging to them, like they'll see that first. Why would I spend $3+ to send a message to a broad when there's a 90%+ chance she won't bother responding anyway/will see the rose as pathetic simp behavior?

And part of their game with that whole thing is they won't let you use regular likes on profiles they have held hostage in your outstanding section. So you either pay to message them, wait and only get to do it 1x per week, or wait and hope to eventually see the profile moved back to the regular stack the app lets you see. Also, like you said, most of the chicks in your "outstanding" are plain Janes at best, and they often don't even have much more in common with your profile in terms of personality than average either.
