How do people still trust what the medical community says at face value?

2 years ago, you got looked at sideways if you walked into a nearly empty clinic and didn't claim you were vaccinated. Even eyecare chain shops wouldn't let you in without a mask unless you claimed to be vaccinated.

Lockdowns didn't work.
Masks didn't work.
Covid vaccines didn't work, and are actually harmful to some.


How the hell do people still blindly trust the medical community/doctors after everything that has gone down?

doctors are put on such a high pedestal it's ridiculous. they're complete fuking morons who did what they could to cheat and pass their courses like everyone else. they don't know a single percent of all the available medical information in existence, so an informed decision is an impossibility. go to the doctor if you want to get passed around between specialists, make appointment after appointment, and spend money to get mostly nothing in return.

Was at the OB with my wife the other day, we asked the doc a question and watched her get on wikipedia to find the answer... Pretty sure we could have googled the answer ourselves too.

we look at what other countries are doing/using and compare contrast.

I don't even trust myself to lock my door. So I check like 5 times before I leave. Get multiple opinions from different doctors.

called the testing facility for a bone scan and asked if there were any precautions before the test( no eating drinking, ect.) and the robotic person repeated 3 times that we only read the tests.

I'm actually kind of amazed at how often you'll see doctors stop and look stuff up on the internet right in front of you.

Like, at least make up some bs reason to go in the back and look it up on a computer back there, instead of right in front of me.

People want to believe in "experts" A number of years ago a researcher, Stanley Milgram, conducted tests to see if a person was willing to cause other people pain if an expert in a white coat told them to do so. Something like 70% of test subjects were willing to push a button that gave an electrical painful shock to another person if an expert told them to do so.

I think though the medical community has hurt their credibility with many with how poorly the COVID situation was handled. The COVID solutions given worked poorly and caused a lot of pain and suffering for many people.

I'm glad I lived in Florida during that time where the governor went against vaccine mandates, school closings, and harsh lockdowns.
