8 hours in emergency to roll the dice if youll get a quack or not.
Several hours at a clinic to get someone to write you a prescription.
If you have a family doctor it usually is a week wait for appointments that they will just do over the phone half the time.
Specialists? That will take years...
Its all free tho, sometimes... and we just pay over half our wages into the tax system to cover the excellent service, taxes always go up too...

Most people I’ve talked to average 1.5 years waiting time for surgery, and as mentioned that’s after being assessed first

I can call my family docs office and usually get an appointment in a day or two depending on the season. If you have an ear infection or something minor we have walk-in clinics covered by provincial health, average wait times there are half an hour. When my wife needed a gall bladder removal from the time she went to her doc, got an ultrasound, and then had the surgery was about 5-6 weeks.
Most of the worst horror stories for wait time you hear are from small remote cities, or the 2-3 centers that have been flooded with millions of immigrants the last 2-3 years.
Ive been told our province is run by a right-wing nazi she-trump, so I guess we take the good with the bad.

I had to see my doctor as my foot was swollen over the weekend.
Called Monday morning at 8am and saw him at 9:30am.
Where I live our emergency room is called urgent care that there is rarely a long wait and the doctors are great.
my brother in law had chest pains about 7 years ago. Went to emergency and had a triple bypass the next day.
How much does it cost to go to emergency in the USA if your health insurance is crap?
As far as something serious emergency rooms here on the Island give priority to actual emergencies.
That be said I am lucky to be living where I am as far as health care in concerned.
Too many people go to emergency for no reason.
