What is your opinion about spying on your children for their safety? (Discussion)

In da world of technology advancing lot of my friends openly admitting to me that they are spying on their children in various ways.

My friends children as a whole aren’t that old, all single digits, and they’re resorting to affectively spying on them more and more because they want to know they’re safe and the people looking after them are not weirdos.

Do you agree with this approach or do you find it immoral?
