I genuinely don't understand. In giant welfare states like US, if you get a great career and make a lot of money, let's say 180K in New York, half of your earning is taken away and it'll go towards free housing and free food and other free stuff that low socioeconomic people get. So when somebody brags about their great career and success, I just wonder what is the point if your earning's gonna be just taken away and go towards free stuff that OTHER people get FOR FREE??

There are many reasons not the least of which are being able to support one’s family or cope with wage slavery through purchasing material items.

Personally I have no interest in it. I work out of necessity, but my position is that outside of tragedies, it is the worst part of life.

False. There are over 10 million people living in free housing in America through Section 8 or other free housing programs. There are also over 30 million Americans that get over $900/month through food stamps(if you have any kid or family member that you're supporting, they basically triple your food stamp money). Every low income family that has any kid or young adult in the family in US receives federal EITC+ state EITC + child tax credit, and those 3 payments combined, it's usually over $1300/month. there are at least 12 more large social welfare programs in US and it seems like you are completely unaware of them.
