Heartless Attack as Woman Pistol-Whipped, Robbed & Dragged in Oakland

An incident caught on camera reveals the shocking violence that unfolded on August 16, 2023, at 6:15 PM on the 1700 block of International Boulevard in Oakland. A woman was pistol-whipped, robbed, and dragged by two armed individuals, leaving her with severe injuries. The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has since launched an investigation and is seeking information from the public regarding the attackers.
According to the OPD's preliminary investigation, the victim was confronted by two armed assailants, both of whom forcibly removed items from her person. As they attempted to take another item from the victim, the woman courageously held on, but was subsequently dragged during the struggle. It was not until a passing citizen intervened that the attackers fled the scene in a vehicle.

The injured victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and her current condition remains unknown. The Oakland community finds itself plagued with questions about the increase in such violent crimes and the lengths to which criminals are willing to go.
