Trying to grow hair out … should I grow it to shoulders (pic now)

Temporarily live in a remote cabin in the woods so trying to embrace the look

It’s currently 6.5 inches long but pretty poor quality it seems by this pic

Looks pretty bad as is just tbh but there’s a long period of awkwardness that can’t be avoided.

I’ve had mine long once and every other time I just get to a point I can’t stand it. Even the time I let it get long it didn’t last because it’s just too aggravating to deal with vs short hair. If you can stand it, go for it.
