Brother in law is a massive bitch

His parents kicked him out so he's been staying with us for a few days now.

Never had a job
Terrible hygiene, I have never seen him shower
Spends most of the day in front of his computer or on his phone. He's always looking at this one girl's instagram so I think he's stalking her
Grossly obese and is out of breath climbing the stairs

Has started giving me dirty looks recently despite the fact that I've been trying to give him advice about his financial situation and trying to teach him some basic DIY / home maintenance stuff.

I’m guessing this is how OP got roped into it. Best thing OP could’ve done is say something like “this will be a hard lesson for him sure, but maybe the kick he needs to get his act together. By letting him stay with us we would only be enabling his bad behaviors”

Unfortunately OP, I would say you are stuck with him for awhile. I’ve realized people who don’t want to change, won’t. Probably going to put a lot of stress on your wife (presuming his sister) because he will say chit like “oh you are going to kick out your brother and let me be homeless?”

Wish you the best OP. One thing you could maybe do is limit his internet access or some chit (basically treat him like a child). Need to put your foot down on the basic hygiene chit too.

When the sister, aka OP's wife, is asking for the favor, she isn't thinking about all the other BS. All she's thinking about is "my family members got into a fight and I must help my helpless brother." OP says no and not his sex life is vulnerable. Everything else is "we'll figure it out later but getting a temporary place for him to stay comes first."
