Monetary expenditure(debt) is off the charts in The Great Depression 2.0
I realized on the way to Church this morning 3 more of my neighbors bought $100K C8 Vette's when I know they can'treallyafford them
You can't drive 3 miles without seeing 1 in 3 people driving new V8 sports cars(Brah gas is like $5.50/gallon)
The road didn't see this many Camaro/Challenger/Mustang even in the 1960's when they were $2,000
It's mind-bamboozling just how hard people are financing their very existence in 2023; worst economy we've ever had
The world went mentally ill because of Cuckvid-injections srs

These people are going to learn a very hard lesson in the next 12-24 months.
It's crazy though. A good friend of mine and his wife probably earn like $300k+ per year combined and live in a low cost of living area, so it's not like they will be broke, but they still just bought a $125k boat to use for like 3-4 weeks every year when he's at his parents Summer lake house 1000 miles away from their home.
I'm sure they can afford it easily, but still they're just not the type of people to make a purchase like this. Can't believe how many people are just making these carefree purchases right now.

My new truck payment is $500 for 60 months and I'm having second thoights about that even though I take home $1000 a week. I might get rid of it and pay cash for a beater for awhile.

Exactly; I'm shocked at how careless people are beingThere has to be some kind of mental side effect going on post lockdowns

$500 is on the lowest end of notes right now with the new average being $580 as of this month.. however.. they're expecting closer to $700 by 2024 w/ $1000 payments becoming more common every month
That is absurd; 10 years ago a $400 car note was almost unheard of
I'm highly considering retiring daily driving my V8 YEET-box & paying cash on some 12 year old Camry etc
In a couple of years my oldest will be needing a reliable car too

Starting to realize now that I made an awesome purchase, considering that I'll probably drive this car for at least 5-6 years and it looks the exact same as the new models Great job of buying a car that looks like it costs $60k but was actually $23k while everyone else is buying $70k trucks and having trouble making the $1200/mo payments.
