booted up final fantasy 8 remaster, makes me lust for a true final fantasy experience

damn this is a classic
the guardian force and junction system just pump, easily one of the best final fantasy features
the level scaling was interesting as well since you could cheese the game by staying low level instead of power farming to own
like a true ff, being able to change party members was also juicy
squall is op, get the lionheart blade early in the game from card battles and you can stay in yellow hp and spam limit breaks and hope for a lionheart proc

Triple Triad should be the standard card game in every FF, so good.

Yeah great game, hate the anime face they gave Squall in the remastered version though.

I remember you could buy tents and turn them into magic items, so you could end up with max curaga for a stat boost. That game could be broken in so many ways.

I might be the few that wasn't a huge fan of FF8, wasn't a fan of the junction system or the overall story/characters. I think Laguna would have made for a much more interesting main character.
