Agreed. Never understood fight club.

A golden era of movies. And for the record, I like trashy B movies, they are solid on Mystery Science Theater roasts.

Politically motivated cringe movies are a new and disturbing thing, particularly at the volume we see today.

But it’s also a reaction to stupid movies where one white brah enters (whatever place) and becomes the greatest swordsman, martial artist, booby trap avoider, and banger of women that the place has ever known.

Yeah Indiana, the guide who spent decades understanding the nature of temples in his areas totally falls for the first dumb trap, and you are smarter than him. Also, people eat frozen monkey brains, because why not? Total cringe.

But it was campy and fun because the entertainment value was there. Now movies are on the opposite end of the pendulum. All of the cringe, none of the fun.
