Did Ric Flair ruin it for other wrestlers getting good retirements?

Remember when Flair retired in wwe, they booked him on this great last run where he beat a bunch of people to save his career and it all paid off in a massive wrestlemania match, then the next night on raw a ticker tape parade and the undertaker taking a knee for Flair.

Then a couple of years later he was back in the ring in Tna exposing his butt crack etc.

Since then guys like Kurt Angle, Edge, wwe guys who had better wwe runs than Flair retire, and they just have a random match on smack down with basically no fanfare.

I think Flair ruined it for everyone because wwe just don't bother doing big retirements now.

Flair got the retirement treatment t because of his history, I’d say.

Seems wrestler retirements in general are treated with a grain of salt and the “never say never” approach. But yeah, embarrassing watching that all unfold and seeing Flair back out there bleeding with Cuck Foley.
