How tf do you start a campfire?

I'm out here camping and can't start a fire to safe my life srs. I've gather tinder, thrown some paper towels, and some Truly cardboard packaging and nothing. My dog looking like he's about to disown me. Fuark this is about to ruin my whole camping trip. Pls help

You can’t just burn quick burning stuff like paper and expect it to light even a full size kindling


Shavings under matchstick sized sticks, under crayon size under chopstick size under drumstick size then regular kindling.

Leave room for air and have each layer naturally feed into the next layer so the smaller fires gradually light the increasingly larger fuel

Other than that you sound like someone who could use a bag of charcoal and a blow torch (food service ones won’t have the safety shut off) under some well cured logs
