5 Poorest States In The US

From poorest to "richest" (snicker) based on median income. And since I know conservatives blame blacks for everything, here's the % of the population that's black.

Mississippi - 39%
West Virginia - 5%
Arkansas - 16%
New Mexico - 3%
Kentucky - 9%

Four of the five states are some of the reddest states in the country. If I expanded the list to 10, 9 of the 10 states would be deep red.

Why are red states so poor?

What happens when you adjust for cost-of-living? Being “rich” somewhere doesn’t mean much if you still end up with less money after paying for everything.

Red states are poor and dumb because of the majority of folks who live there are conservative. Blue states are rich and bigly educated because the majority of people who live there are liberal.

Next the cultist will post up the same tired articles about a couple of failing city schools never mentioning that those represent .001% of all schools in blue states nor do they mention that chithole red state school systems surrounded by trailer parks are performing just as poorly.

Actually it’s a very valid argument and shows exactly where people fall on party lines.

Obviously as a liberal you approve more of outside forces taking more of an individuals earnings and applying it to the community, so raw monetary volume is most important.

Conservatives who want less govt taxation and more control prefer places where their personal buying power is most respected and they can choose how to apply their money to their environment.

I see no right or wrong and see both sides picking the stats that correlate with what they find important. You two can both be right.

A lot of conservatives still live on farms and live the old way. A farmer doesn't make as much money as a sleazeball unethical lawyer or p33do hollywood movie producer

There's a reason one area has a COL of 180 and one has a COL of 50. Because no one wants to live in the chithole COL state. So yes, I'd be "richer" living in WVa then I am in beautiful Maryland, but then I'd be living in chithole WVa.
