This film pulls on different emotional heart strings pertaining to grief all at once

Just when you start feeling feels.. it then subverts your expectations in that given scene




Jump scares are periodic but also unexpected most of the time(got me REAL GUD once)

-The plot is somewhat generic
-Creature feature is hidden most of the movie but is very scary
-Acting is well done even by the children
-Pacing is well done
-Some choices characters make are LULZY but it's a horror movie so.. meh




Overall strong 6.7/10; high score for a horror flick that takes itself srsly

Can't remember the last time I've been scared by a movie. Probably Blair Witch when I was a kid.

Vidya games tho, Holy fuk lol. That chit is unsettling. I got scared by some basic horror games that apparently the normies don't find that scary (Resident evil 2 remake and RE village)

The Last horror movie misc suggested was Sinister. Supposedly the scariest movie of all time. Interesting and origonal plot. But scary? Hell no. Yall a bunch of softies.

Exorcism of Emily Rose is probably scarier than anything made in the last decade, and it is PG-13. Highly recommend it though, ded srs.

^ Agree that vidya games are still scary. RE Village is still pretty scary. But Evil Within 2 was even scarier.

yeah i watched that in 2 parts last 2 nights. was decent. not a must see but worth a watch and more so if youre into horror. also saw Last Shift which was also suggested in taht other thread. Thought that was really good tbh. check it out.
