Americans don’t trust the cdc? You don’t say. We are the only country that’s even still talking about masks. Even the European and Asian counties that had a hard on for masks have moved on

Doesn't matter. The only place you're likely to see people wearing masks a lot are in some workplaces that mandate it on employees like hospitals and the airport.
Recommending everyone wear masks again is simply to create a pscho-social atmosphere where more people think they should get jabbed again. Pfizer's stock is down 30%, Moderna is down 35% since the start of the year.....do your part!!!

They've worn them for decades. Meanwhile pre-Omicron in Japan it's believed a lot of the reason they didn't have lots of Covid spread was because spread of other coronaviruses was so common, granting partial protection to SARS2. The masks don't stop the spread other coronaviruses or flu. I suggest you wear that horsehead as your mask everywhere. May as well have some fun with the mask delusion if you're going to participate.

You're right. They did. But it was never mandated. Couldn't care less what other people do as long as we don't bring back mandates.

Japan, which the zero covid nuts love to point out, has always worn masks to some extent. Usually due to pollen, air pollution, or when one is sick as a courtesy. On that note in 2019 Japan suffered its worst flu outbreak in history. Looks like people wearing masks when they were sick did a bang up job of protecting others for a virus far less contagious than covid.
