I'm considering getting one but there are so many choices, tell me your experiences.

abandoned all that and simply went back to 1) buying high quality litter and 2) cleaning the old litterbox daily.....litter makes a huge difference....HUGE.
btw: what kinda cat...I got the GOAT...ocicat (bred to look like an ocelot) and have very wild cat personalities.

I've got the expensive one. Litter Robot.
We've also got regular litter boxes too as a couple of the cats are freaked out by the electric one.
The Litter Robot is great if you can stomach the price. Has an app, empties straight to the bottom tray, and no scooping. Just need to take the bag out and replace it every week or so.

4 cats crew checking in, never tried anything like Litter Robot. We clean the box twice a day...before work and after. Like someone said above the type of litter can make a huge difference in the amount of smell and the litter dust. Cat crap is almost as bad as baby crap in terms of smell, fookin hate it.
