I like Gladiator better.

Neither one is very historically accurate, like AT ALL. But of the two I catch major feels from Gladiator. Epic as fuk.

Braveheart is almost as good.

Next you have The Patriot and Rob Roy both kind of a grade below, but pretty good.

Braveheart

Wallace rode into that cuck's bedchamber on a fkn horse.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I didn't like the pacing of Braveheart, and it's a long ass movie.

Gladiator is a great popcorn flick to get the tst running.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.

I bet Conan the Barbarian would beat them both.

Gladiator might get a small cut on Arnold or two, and Mel might push Arnold once, but then Arnold will hit a side bicep pose with the sword, and Basil Poledoris music will play, and it’s fookin over! Conan’s fallen female lover will appear in shiny silver armor with wings and ask him if he wants to live forever, and Arnie will fookin slash both these ****gits in half.

Gladiator, not even close.

Its like comparing Saving Private Ryan with Dunkirk. One is a marterpiece, the other is "just" a great movie.

Gladiator as a movie, Braveheart for the battle scenes.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Braveheart is decent. I would definitely watch again.

Unless you are into historically accurate movies. If thats the case, Braveheart sucks.

Both are iconic.

Gotta go with Braveheart though. Peak Mel Gibson
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Gladiator is definitely more entertaining, with the slick fights and all the classic elements of a revenge-flick: the overpowered hero, the great injustice, the evil villain, and the gratifying payoff.

Braveheart is about a brotherhood of free men refusing to bend the knee, choosing instead to fight an enemy that they are unlikely to defeat. It has by far the best message and packs the most timeless quotes. The battles are also less "hollywood" and carry a lot of drama, with every fight actually advancing the plot.

Braveheart is a clear winner.
